Alexander Bain

June 24, 1948 -  December 28, 2016

Alex passed away peacefully at home in Toronto on December 28th 2016 of heart failure. Alex was the son of the late Madeleine and James Bain, caring and supportive husband of Janet Rossant and loving father to Robert and Jennifer (deceased). He will be sorely missed by his siblings, James (Megan), Peggy (Arndt) and Peter (Leigh), his nieces, nephews and the extended Armour clan.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the Turner and Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor Street West, Toronto on Friday January 6th, 2017 from 10 a.m., followed by a Service of Remembrance at 11 a.m. Online memorial messages and donations to SickKids or Holland Bloorview Kids Rehab can be made at www.turnerporter.ca

Adam Hartley Zimmerman

It is with sadness that we announce the death of Adam Zimmerman, peacefully, at home at the age of 91.

A private family service will be held. The family will receive friends and colleagues at the York Club, 135 St. George St., Toronto On Friday October 28th, at 5 o'clock.

REDFERN, Joan Phin (née Ballantyne)

It is with sadness that we announce the death of Joan Redfern, on September 19, 2016, surrounded by her family in Oakville, Ontario.

She was predeceased by her husband Donald Blaine Redfern, and her sister Burleigh Leishman. She is survived by her children, Janet Beddoe (John Berg), Andrew (Jean), Pamela Redfern Brands (Andrew) and Alan (Stephanie); sisters Patricia Ballantyne and Dossé Matthews; grandchildren Dawn, Christopher, Blaine, Ryley, Jill, Kate, Shannon, Christian, David, Crofton, Madeleine, Bronwyn and Benjamin; and great grandchildren Trevor, Adalyn, Matthew, Phin and Sophie.

A Celebration of Joan's Life will be held at the Badminton and Racquet Club, 25 St. Clair Ave. West, Toronto on what would have been her 88th birthday on Monday, October 17th, at 1:30 p.m.

Faith Wishart

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Faith Wishart after a long hard battle with breast cancer.

Faith Elizabeth Wishart (née Woitowitz), passed away Sunday morning, September 4, 2016. Faith is survived by her husband Gordon Wishart and two children Gibb and Beatrice, brother Stephen Woitowitz and his wife Susie and their two children Tagen and Haley, her sister Ruth Woitowitz, and her mother and father Donna and Horst Woitowitz.

There will be a celebration of life at Blue Mountain Resort (705) 445-0231 [ 156 Jozo Weider Blvd, Blue Mountain Village, Collingwood, ON L9Y 3Z2 ] on Sunday, September 11, 2016 visitation between 2 and 3 PM, service starting at 3 till 5 PM. The service will be a sharing of memories to hold up her life and let everyone see her scope of influence and love.

Please come and celebrate her life with family and friends. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the children's education fund are welcome.
